There have been some reports that the iPad is expected to gain widgets on the home screen, much like the iPhone received with iOS 14, and that both the iPhone and iPad will see improvements to Apple's iMessage messaging platform as well as improved notifications. What exactly is in those updates, is a good question. What we do know is that Apple will unveil iOS 15, iPadOS 15, WatchOS 8, MacOS 12, and TVOS 15 based on the yearly update cycle Apple has followed since the iPhone launched. It's an overpowered device that's begging for more powerful software to take advantage of it. That said, there's a lot of expectations on Apple to improve the iPad's software after the release of the M1-powered iPad Pro. There hasn't been a whole lot of leaks or rumors about what to expect in any of the updates so far, outside of rumors about the iPad gaining a home screen redesign that will allow users to place widgets anywhere on the screen as you can on an iPhone right now. This is one of the first Apple events in a while where, outside of knowing what Apple typically announces, we don't know many specifics. In late 1967, she introduced the song like this: But in this song there are only two sides to things… there’s reality and I guess what you might call fantasy. In most cases there are both sides to things and in a lot of cases there are more than just both. "This is a song that talks about sides to things. Interestingly, she gave the same introduction - word for word - on Octoat the Second Fret in Philadelphia: Joni introduces the song this way at the White Swan in Leicester, England on September 16, 1967. And so I got this idea 'from both sides now.' There are a lot of sides to everything, and so the song is called "From Both Sides, Now." I was reading a book, and I haven't finished it yet, called "Henderson the Rain King." And there's a line in it that I especially got hung up on that was about when he was flying to Africa and searching for something, he said that in an age when people could look up and down at clouds, they shouldn't be afraid to die. ![]() ![]() It - I should tell people a little bit about it. ![]() THESE ARE THE TYPE OF LED LIGHTS YOU’LL NEED - 4-ft LED Linear Shop Light. LED lights average at 5,000 lumens, so you’re covered if you go with LED. The sizes of the bulbs do not matter (T12, T8 or T5), but you’ll want at least 2,000 lumens for seed starting. If you have a 48” shelf, you’ll want 48” lights. You will want shop lights that are the length of your shelving. Fluorescent shop lights ruled the seed starting world for a long time, but LED lights are much brighter, give off a larger spectrum of light, and are much more energy efficient than their fluorescent counterparts. LED lights are the way to go for seed starting. No holes means you’ll have no way of hanging the lights. Your shelving units must have holes on the actual shelves, or the shelves must be made of metal wire. In that case, you could opt to buy shelves of a different length and width. If you prefer to start seeds using a soil blocker, perhaps your trays require less space than the 1020 trays. ![]() For instance, four trays per shelf would mean you need a 48-inch wide shelf. If you are an avid seed starter or farmer that grows a lot of seedlings, buy a bigger (wider) unit than you think you need! I keep going through shelves because they aren’t big enough.įor 1020 trays (typical size plug tray), assume you need 1 foot of shelving width per tray. In short, here are tips for choosing shelving for a seed starting setup: Related: How to Start Seeds with a Mini Soil Blocker ![]() The shipping was an astronomical $80.00 to get to my house, but I foresee finally keeping this shelving unit as a seed starting shelf going forward. This unit is substantially larger than the other units I’ve had in the past simply because I need more growing space. In 2023, I bought yet another metal shelving unit, this time from Webstaurant Store, that measures 6 feet across with a depth of 18 inches. With this unit, I was able to fit (4) 1020 trays across and in total, the unit supported 16 trays. In 2022, I bought a metal shelving unit from Home Depot that had 5 shelves measuring 4 feet across. In total, this plastic shelving unit fit up to (12) 1020 plug trays. The downside: I was only able to fit THREE (not four) 1020 trays on each shelf because the vertical posts are thick and take up space inside of the 48” width - this was disappointing at first, but I now use the plastic shelf as storage in my barn. I would have preferred it to be on casters so it could be easily moved around, but I ultimately chose this unit because it cost less than a metal unit. This unit is made of hard plastic and has the openings in the shelves where I can easily hang shop lights with S-Hooks. This is the plastic shelving unit I used for seed starting in 2021: Commander Shelving Unit from Lowe’s. Related: Our Favorite Resources for Backyard Gardening I would shop around for the best price on Amazon, Webstaurant Store, Uline, Lowe’s and Home Depot. There are lots of options for shelving online or at big box hardware stores such as Lowe’s and Home Depot. You can opt to buy a metal unit or a plastic unit, but you must make sure the shelves on the unit are not solid (you will need openings on the shelves to hang shop lights from). ![]() You’ll be able to fit (16) 1020 trays in a system like this. These are good 1020 size plug trays: 50 cell tray, 72 cell tray, 128 cell trayįor a 48” wide by 24” deep shelving unit, with five shelves, you will have space for four shelves of four trays across. I highly recommend spending the money on the 20-24” deep shelf. If you skimp and go 18” deep then the 1020 trays will hang off the edges of the shelf and risk being bumped into. Assuming you are using plug trays of that size, you will want shelves that are 48” wide by 20-24” deep. These 1020 trays are a standard size if you are growing plugs in the 50, 72, or 128 plug trays. ![]() Your shelving unit will need shelves that are wide enough to hold at least three (better if they hold four) of the typical 1020 seed starting trays. How to choose shelves for a seed starting setup ![]() ![]() ![]() This makes playing and learning how to read guitar tabs easy for beginners, and the staff will also be labeled “TAB” so it’s not confused with standard notation. The top line is the high E string and the bottom line represents the low E string. One major difference is that the staff lines in the guitar tab represent the 6 strings, not the actual notes. The guitar tab staff looks like the staff used in standard notation. This will allow them to find the proper notes to play while using the guitar tab as a guide. When beginners learn how to read guitar tabs successfully, they must familiarize themselves with the 6 strings and the locations of the various frets. WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW TO READ GUITAR TABS? Guitar tab notation is better for beginners than standard notation, for it tells you what notes to play to make the chord and where you can find them on your guitar. A chord is played by strumming all the indicated strings at the same time. When the numbers are in line with each other vertically, they represent a chord. Guitar tablature is read left to right, and all notes shown are in chronological order. If you’re ready to learn about what guitar tabs are and what they can be used for, you’ve come to the right place. It can also be an easier way to learn, since knowing how to read guitar tabs doesn’t require any special knowledge other than locating the strings and the frets on your guitar. ![]() For this reason, understanding guitar tablature and learning how to read tabs for guitar is particularly useful for beginners and allows students to learn how to play the guitar without ever having to learn how to read traditional musical notation.Īt School of Rock, we teach students how to read guitar tablature since it can show you both chords and single notes –– making it the fastest way to learn your favorite songs. This comes in handy, especially since the guitar has many different places to play the same notes. Guitar tabs share similarities with music staff notation by showing you what notes to play, how long to play them, and what techniques to use. But when compared to standard music notation, learning and reading guitar tablature offers a serious advantage: it shows you where to play the notes on your guitar. Guitar tablature, usually referred to as “tab”, is a method of notating music that empowers beginner guitarists to learn songs quickly and easily. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Fixed >160 character bug - wasn't sending properly Fixed Bug - escaped character issue with Close/Reply buttons on Popup Notification Can see which Android version you have in the About on Android App New Calling Features: Calling Now, Missed Calls notifications (can turn off on Android side) Performance improvements on data storage latency Started rollout of faster push notifications to Chrome Continued rollout of faster push notifications to more users Fixed multiple-tabs-opening bug during Chrome Contacts sync Speed improvements in retrieving messages in real-time Revert to standard fonts in some text areas Speed improvements on desktop notifications Background color change, based on many users' feedback :) Fixed intermittent problem of repeated "You have many text messages" notification No longer closes window when replying to a message from the result of a popup notification Increased stability for upcoming web app release Fixed bug with popup notifications not showing up from certain recipients Support notifications of upcoming web app beta release.
